Most people will tell you to not put vinyl plank floors under appliances which is bunch of garbage.

Double sided tape can be used under the floor to help seams stay put but no adhesive is spread over every square inch of the subfloor. Seal the edges of a piece of 3 by 3 foot plastic sheeting onto the floor with duct tape.

The flooring you have left over for this will not be a. The entire floor can and will float due to the tremendous pounds per square inch tolerance the system will allow.
